City Has Durian Sales Center in Kalibata

Jakarta Provincial Government has inaugurated a temporary shelter (loksem) for durian sales center that is located on Jalan Taman Pahlawan (TMP) Kalibata, Pancoran, South Jakarta.

It will be one tourist destination

Loksem filled by 30 street vendors will be the largest durian sales center in the capital.

South Jakarta Mayor, Tri Kurniadi said the all sellers are recruited from street vendors who sell durian on the roadside that is now neat. 

"I want you to maintain cleanliness. Durian quality must also be maintained, no chemicals. It will be one tourist destination," he stated, Wednesday (2/8).

At the same place, Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives (KUKMP) Dept. Head, Irwandi explained every seller is only charged retribution of Rp 3,000 per day via Bank DKI auto debit.

"Loksem  is developed from corporate social responsibility (CSR)," he stated.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, durian-selling place is prepared with tent models equipped by chairs and tables for visitors.

There are also hand washing facility, public restroom and gazebo for musical entertainment stage.
